Description:

Calaveras County chose Aircon Energy to start with the renovation of its legal building. The project involved a large amount of hazardous material removal where asbestos had been sprayed on the entire interior roof deck. Because asbestos and lead paint removal was such a large portion of the project the space had to be completely evacuated of people and contents in order for the work to be accomplished. With court activities scheduled to resume on January third, Aircon had less than two weeks to accomplish this half million-dollar project.

Aircon had to coordinate around the clock shifts of seven different trades along with continuous air quality testing to ensure on time performance and regulatory compliance. As promised the building was ready for use when employees returned from the holiday break.

Project Scope:

  • Asbestos abatement
  • T bar ceiling removal and installation
  • Complete lighting system installation.
  • Air conditioning duct system replacement
  • Upgrades and enhancements to the county’s existing direct digital control (DDC) systems.
  • Environmental and air quality monitoring and testing
  • Moving and storage
  • Texturing and painting
